2010 Transforming Lives Award Recipients
The Transforming Lives Awards celebrate and honour extraordinary people living with mental illness or addiction, who now serve as models of hope and inspiration to others.
On May 26, 2010, for the first time in the 16 years of the Transforming Lives Awards, the celebration was bought home to CAMH. Guests were invited to walk through the historic wall of the Queen Street site and the equally historic redevelopment before arriving at the dinner tent in the Shaw Street parking lot. Eight hundred and fifty guests shared in the celebration and more than $800,000 was raised. The highlight of the night were the five remarkable recipients, who delivered inspiring speeches recounting their experiences.
